Why we recommend Secrets Playa Mujeres
Secrets Playa Mujeres is an adults-only, all-suite all-inclusive in the private Playa Mujeres community just north of Cancún, framed by a Greg Norman–designed golf course. After a renovation from April to December 2025, Hyatt reopened it in January 2026 with all 424 suites redesigned in a contemporary coastal style.
Preferred Club now has its own two-storey building and a private beach club, and dining spans seven à la carte restaurants — including the new Amazon-inspired Ayara — with no reservations required. Guests also have access to Dreams Playa Mujeres next door.

Is Secrets Playa Mujeres adults-only?
Yes. Secrets Playa Mujeres is an adults-only, all-suite resort. Families who want the same beach can stay at Dreams Playa Mujeres next door.
What changed in the renovation?
A 2025 renovation redesigned every suite in a coastal style. Preferred Club gained a new two-story building and a private beach club, the lobby bar moved and the spa was upgraded. The former Bordeaux is now Ayara, an Amazon-inspired restaurant.
Can Secrets guests use Dreams Playa Mujeres?
Yes. Secrets guests enjoy complimentary access to Dreams next door, which adds more dining and activities. Preferred Club guests may also have an à la carte breakfast at Maris restaurant in Dreams.
Do restaurants need reservations?
Generally no. The exceptions are the teppanyaki and hibachi tables at Himitsu, which need a reservation, and Ki' Ki' Che, which is reserved for Preferred Club guests or available for a supplement.
What does Preferred Club add?
A premium-location suite with upgraded minibar and bath amenities, personalized check-in and concierge, a lounge with snacks, desserts and premium liquors, and the new beach club.
