Overview

Why we recommend St. Regis Kanai

Opened in March 2023, St. Regis Kanai sits on the Riviera Maya where the jungle meets the sea. Its white crescent buildings, arranged in circles that echo the Pleiades, rise on raised walkways above a protected red mangrove, between the jungle and two miles of white-sand beach.

St. Regis butler service comes with every category, dining is led by TORO from chef Richard Sandoval, and each evening begins with Champagne sabered at sunset. It is not all-inclusive — ideal for travelers who like to choose where, and when, they dine.

  • Edmonds International shaped the buildings as white crescents set in circles that, seen from above, echo the Pleiades star cluster.
  • The resort rises above a protected red mangrove, its buildings linked by raised walkways that keep the footprint light.
  • About 2 miles of white-sand beach face a coral reef that lies less than half a mile offshore.
  • St. Regis Signature Butler Service is included in every room category.
  • Every accommodation has either a private terrace or a plunge pool, depending on the category.
  • At sunset each evening, Champagne is sabered, and The St. Regis Bar pours the Kanai Mary, a local Bloody Mary with corn, peppers and cucumber.
  • Interiors by Chapi Chapo Design pair carved walnut headboards and ceramic pendants with materials that recall the mangroves, the cenotes and the night sky.
  • The first St. Regis in the Riviera Maya opened here in March 2023.
